Community Employment Placement ProgramBosma Enterprises' Community Employment Services Programdedicates itself to decreasing the more than 70% unemployment rate among individuals who are blind or visually impaired by assisting those individuals to prepare for, secure, and retainemployment. EligibilityThis program is available at no cost to most Indiana residents in the greater Indianapolis area who are at least 18 years of age and are experiencing challenges in finding or retaining a job due to a loss of vision. Awareness and EducationOur Employment Specialists work with employers to make recommendations for appropriate adaptations when hiring or retaining an employee who is blind or visually impaired. Staff can conduct a task performance analysis in order to assist in the coordination of necessary job modifications for the employee. Bosma Enterprises staff can also provide education and training on the abilities of people who are blind or visually impaired and address concerns of employers and coworkers.
